New to rax this year is orienteering!!!
Combining running and navigation...
Orienteering is a sport that requires participants to navigate between control points in a set order as quickly as possible (generally this means running cross country, mostly off paths although it depends on the difficultly of the course). It is both a mental and physical challenge, that can take you to amazing places.
RAX is organising training sessions for beginners to familiarise themselves with the map (orienteering maps are quite different from OS maps) and develop some key orienteering skills (eg. map memory, route choice, and so on). There are also opportunities to more experienced orienteering to practice on some of London's permanent courses.
